The 216 Foundation exists to assist in the search for and successful
creation of a cure for diabetes by providing financial support to
organizations and programs dedicated to the search for a cure. The

The Alzheimer's Association of Greater Cincinnati began in 1979 as
a family support group for caregivers, relatives and friends of
individuals with Alzheimer's disease. It became affiliated with the
national Alzheimer's Association in 1980, was granted chapter
status in 1983 and now serves a 27-county area in Southern Ohio,
Northern Kentucky and Southeastern Indiana. It is estimated that
there are 44,000 individuals with Alzheimer's disease or a related
disorder within the Greater Cincinnati Chapter territory.
The American Diabetes Association is leading the fight against the
deadly consequences of diabetes and fighting for those affected by
diabetes. The Association funds research to prevent, cure and manage
diabetes; delivers services to hundreds of communities; provides
objective and credible information; and gives voice to those denied
their rights because of diabetes.
Amy's Hope International creates channels for private orphanages
in Eastern Europe to receive grant funding and be blessed by
people all around the world. People just like you. Our vision was
born out of first-hand experience in the countries we are seeking
to support. Private orphanages offer a solid upbringing with a focus
on education, self-sufficiency and Christian faith. This environment
provides an avenue for orphans to become contributing members of
society. Studies have shown that children raised in this environment
also grow to be adults that are less likely to abuse drugs and
alcohol, turn to criminal activity including prostitution or become
homeless.
Assistance League of Greater Cincinnati was founded in 1995 as a
Guild of National Assistance League by a handful of enthusiastic,
dedicated women with a desire to bring a new philanthropic
organization to their community. Hard work helped the tiny guild
accomplish all the goals necessary to become a chapter. In 1998
(after only three years of operation), Assistance League of Greater
Cincinnati became the 101st Chapter of National Assistance
League.
With new facilities, improved services and a growing vision, Baptist
Life Communities continues to expand its Continuum of Care to better
meet the needs of Northern Kentucky's senior adults. Our ministry
operates with two distinct but interwoven philosophies known as
quality and caring.

Bark Ark Bully Rescue is a nonprofit organization located in the
Cincinnati area, working to save the lives of dogs in high kill
shelters, primarily in Ohio and neighboring states. We are a
completely volunteer organization and we can\'t do it without you.

Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteers act as advocates for
dependent, abused or neglected children. Volunteers are appointed by
the Boone County Family Court Judge only after completing a 30-hour
training program. CASA takes all cases of child abuse or neglect that
go through the Juvenile Court.
The mission of Brighton Center, Inc. is to create opportunities for
individuals and families to reach self-sufficiency through family
support services, education and leadership throughout the
communities of Northern Kentucky. We will achieve this mission by
creating an environment which rewards excellence and innovation,
encourages mutual respect and maximizes resources.
CASA For Clermont Kids is a Court Appointed Special Advocate and
Guardian Ad Litem program. We are a nonprofit children\'s advocacy
program for children who find themselves in the court system because
of what their parents or guardians did to them (physical and/or sexual
abuse, neglect and dependency).

Casting for Recovery is a national nonprofit support and
educational program for women who have or have had breast
cancer. We provide an opportunity for women whose lives have
been profoundly affected by the disease to gather in a beautiful,
natural setting and learn fly fishing, a sport for life. Just as
importantly, we offer an opportunity to meet new friends and have
fun.
Centerpoint Health is a comprehensive behavioral health care
provider in Hamilton County (Cincinnati), Ohio. Our mission is to
improve the general mental health of individuals and groups in the
community by providing a continuum of behavioral health care
services to help them achieve their maximum potential. With five
neighborhood-based locations throughout Hamilton County,
Centerpoint serves children, adults and families.
Our purpose is to extend public education and awareness regarding
abuse and neglect. In 2008, CRT placed several hundred Chihuahuas
and Chihuahua mixes in approved homes. CRT requires an application,
vet check, reference check and home visit for each adopter.
The Child Wellness Fair connects families with area healthcare
professionals, social workers, educators and volunteer ambassadors
to identify community needs, launch efforts to address those needs
and provide the means to stabilize the program. It is our belief that
by working together, sharing in the responsibilities and providing
leadership that allows easy entry points for individuals, businesses
and organizations to truly collaborate, we can begin to solve many
issues otherwise falling through the cracks of our society.
Motivated by the needs of our children, the goal of The Children\'s
Heart Foundation is to bring health, hope and happiness to children
impacted by congenital heart defects, the No. 1 birth defect in the
United States. We accomplish this goal by funding the most promising
research to advance the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of
congenital heart defects.
The Cincinnati Area Chapter of the American Red Cross, through its
network of chapters, service delivery units and national headquarter
operations, provides emergency services to our community 24
hours a day, 365 days of the year. Through an extensive network of
well-trained volunteers and generous donations from people
throughout the country, the Red Cross is able to provide these
services in 16 counties throughout Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana in
which we serve.

Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit Christian housing
ministry that seeks to eliminate substandard housing by building
simple, decent, affordable homes to sell to low-income families in
need. Cincinnati Habitat works in equal partnership with families,
volunteers and donors building a sense of community as well as
affordable housing.
Volunteers are a vital part of Cincinnati Museum Center's activities.
Without this special group of dedicated people, Cincinnati Museum
Center would not be able to fulfill its mission to inspire people of
all ages to learn more about our world through science, regional
history, and educational, engaging and meaningful experiences. No
prior volunteer experience is necessary, Â"just enthusiasm and an
avid interest in the activities and programs we offer.
With the formation of the Cincinnati Red Stockings of 1869,
professional baseball and America's passion for the sport were
born, and grew, right here in Cincinnati. Now, for the first time, the
Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum offers fans of the Reds,
and of baseball, the first comprehensive look into the sport's
heralded past. Nowhere else are fans able to see as complete of a
collection of artifacts from the first professional baseball team and
its rich history in the major leagues.
CYC makes a significant difference in the lives of young people in
grades 3 through 12 by providing mentoring and college readiness
services. We serve as a catalyst, bringing together more than 2,100
volunteers and 120 local businesses and organizations to help
young people graduate from high school and successfully make the
leap forward into postsecondary education or rewarding
employment.

A great way to support the Cincinnati Zoo is by volunteering. We
have volunteers of all ages, from 13 to 95! There are volunteer
opportunities in many areas of the Zoo, including: education,
horticulture, special events, clerical work, ambassadors and craft
making or working with CREW, our research facility. Volunteers
receive many special privileges including educational opportunities,
social events with other volunteers, discounts at our restaurants
and gift shops, and the monthly newsletter specifically for
volunteers.
The Civic Garden Center is a nonprofit horticultural resource that
enriches lives through education, community beautification and
environmental stewardship. The Civic Garden Center is an oasis in
the city - eight beautifully landscaped acres open daily to visitors at
no charge and located 2.5 miles from downtown Cincinnati.
Volunteers donate their time to maintain the grounds, and they and
others provide financial support to the organization that was
founded in 1942.
CRISPAZ is a faith-based organization dedicated to building bridges
of solidarity between the Church and the poor and marginalized
communities in El Salvador and communities in the U.S. and other
countries through mutual accompaniment, striving together for
peace, justice, sustainability and human liberation. CRISPAZ is
politically non-partisan, committed to nonviolence and supportive
of the faith journeys of one another.
Greater Cincinnati Chapter The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis
Foundation, a nonprofit donor-supported organization, is to assure
the development of the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis
and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease. The
Foundation is the leading organization in the United States devoted
to cystic fibrosis. It funds and accredits more than 115 CF care
centers, 95 adult care programs and 50 affiliate programs and has
80 chapters and branch offices nationwide.
The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America is a nonprofit,
volunteer-driven organization dedicated to finding the cure for
Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Four decades ago, the
Crohn's & Colitis Foundation created the field of Crohn's disease
and ulcerative colitis research. Today, the Foundation funds
cutting-edge studies at major medical institutions, nurtures
investigators at the early stages of their careers, and finances
underdeveloped areas of research.

Easter Seals Work Resource Center empowers individuals with
disabilities and disadvantages to increase their independence
through employment. Our organization has extensive experience in
creating opportunities for nearly 12,000 people with disabilities
and disadvantages each year to gradually transition into the
workforce and experience career success. Our goal is to give each
participant work skills that allow him or her to be self-sufficient for
life.
Originally called the Project Connect Homeless Children's Fund, FwP
helps Project Connect by providing valuable funding and awareness to
support children experiencing homelessness. FwP has provided
funding for enrichment, summer programming, transportation,
uniforms, supplies, enrollment assistance and field trips.
Fernside is a nonprofit organization offering support and advocacy to
grieving families who have experienced a death. As the second center
in the nation, Fernside offers peer support for grieving children, teens
and adults. Fernside works to increase community awareness of grief
issues through community outreach.
Focus on Youth, Inc., founded and incorporated on February 5,
1992, is a nonprofit, faith-based foster care and adoption agency.
We are located in southwest Ohio and serve neighboring counties
by licensing quality foster homes. Our staff has more than 100
years of experience in foster care and adoption, not only as social
workers, but also as professional foster parents, adoptive parents,
and siblings to foster and adopted youth.
Girl Scouts of Kentucky's Wilderness Road Council serves 25,000
girls and 5,000 adult volunteers in 68 counties in Central, Eastern
and Northern Kentucky. Girl Scouts is the preeminent leadership
development and values - driven organization for girls ages five to
17. In Girl Scouting, girls discover by exploring the world, connect
by caring for and teaming with others and take action to make the
world a better place. Girl Scouts has been cultivating women leaders
for 96 years.
Give Back Cincinnati started in December 2000 with a small group
of friends that wanted to give back to their community. Since our
first event, that small group of friends has grown to more than
4,000 members (representing 400 companies) and continues to
provide young people in Cincinnati with an outlet where they can
have fun, meet people and give back to their community all at the
same time.

The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education NetworkThe Gay, Lesbian and
Straight Education Network strives to assure that each member of
every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual
orientation or gender identity/expression. GLSEN Cincinnati is one of
more than 40 chapters nationwide of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight
Education Network.
Gorman Heritage Farm is a 120-acre working and educational farm,
located just minutes from I-75 and I-71 in Evendale, Ohio. The farm is
managed by the Gorman Heritage Farm Foundation, a 501(c)(3)
nonprofit organization. In addition to farm visits, GHF offer field trips
for schools and groups, summer camp for ages 4-15, volunteer
opportunities, seasonal festivals and other events.

The Interchurch Organization (ECHO) is a nonprofit agency that serves
the poor and homeless of Northern Kentucky. ECHO was started by
Sister Mary Dorgan, CDP and other interested laity and ministers of
Campbell County. We now average about 150 meals an evening. Many
volunteers work together to ECHO the call of the Gospel today by
reaching out to the poor and homeless in our community
Since 1978, Hospice of the Bluegrass has provided quality end of
life care to terminally ill patients and their families using a
comprehensive spectrum of care - from palliative outpatient
services to in home medical services to family and community
support. Grief and bereavement services extend to family members,
caregivers and anyone in grief whether or not their loved one was a
Hospice patient.

Hoxworth Blood Center is the only blood center for the greater
Cincinnati area. Serving a 17-county area in Ohio, Kentucky and
Indiana, Hoxworth collects, tests, processes and distributes blood
and blood components to 32 hospitals and medical centers.
Hoxworth needs to collect blood from 350 volunteer blood donors
and 40 volunteer platelet donors each day meet the needs of Tri-
state patients
The I Have Wings foundation's mission statement is to emotionally
inspire breast cancer patients during their cancer journey,
encourage each woman by acting on their behalf as an advocate for
their individual needs and educate women on the facts, risks and
treatment of breast cancer. Because knowledge is critical to the
prevention and diagnosis of cancer, I Have Wings reaches out to
school systems by educating youth on breast and testicular cancer.
We provide patented Wings of Love shawls to those who need them,
such as those suffering from cancer or other serious illness and their
caregivers. These blankets are handmade and given to people in need
of healing or comfort. We are a non-profit organization with the goal
of spreading love and comfort through the blankets made by
registered members of the Wings of Love.
Jeanie's Haven is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated
to rescuing animals, making a difference in the lives of abused,
mistreated and homeless animals. In fact, rescuing animals is
Jeanie's life's mission. I have seen firsthand the wonderful
difference Jeanie makes in the lives of abused, mistreated and
homeless animals and this organization is my gift to her so she can
continue to do what she loves and does best.
Since 1943, Jewish Family Service has played a vital role in serving the
constantly changing social service needs of individuals, families and
their children in Greater Cincinnati. People count on Jewish Family
Service every day for support, comfort and hope. JFS' mission is
strengthening Jewish lives and responding to community needs
through intervention, support, education and enrichment.
The Kentucky Symphony Orchestra was formed in 1992 (as the
Northern Kentucky Symphony) with a mission to make classical
music attractive, accessible and affordable to people in the
Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati area. Since its inception,
the KSO has demonstrated a unique ability to make the concert
experience relevant and entertaining to its audiences, while
maintaining high performance standards and integrity.

Since 1995, KFK has invested nearly 0,000 into improving the outlook
of the children it serves and positively impacted over 40,000 young
lives in the process. Former Bengals kicker Doug Pelfrey started the
charity as a result of his passion to help kids and his commitment to
the community in which he lives.
The League for Animal Welfare, which has operated as a no-kill
shelter since 1964, is dedicated to bettering the lives of companion
animals in the Greater Cincinnati area by providing shelter,
adoption, public education and spay/neuter programs. We're a
voluntary, nonprofit animal shelter located in Clermont County. Our
shelter houses approximately 80 cats and 40 dogs looking for
permanent, loving homes.
LifeCenter Organ Donor Network, A Donate Life Organization,
encourages and coordinates the donation of human organs and
tissues for transplantation. In 1981, LifeCenter began operating as
an independent, nonprofit organ procurement organization and it
has been approved and designated by the Centers for Medicare and
Medicaid Services as the primary organ procurement organization
serving eight counties in Southwestern Ohio, six counties in
Northern Kentucky and two counties in Southeastern Indiana.
The mission of Lighthouse Youth Services is to advance the dignity and
well being of children, youth and families in need. We promote good
citizenship, responsible behavior and self-reliance.

Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly is a national, nonprofit,
volunteer-based organization committed to relieving isolation and
loneliness among the elderly. We offer to people of goodwill the
opportunity to join the elderly in friendship and celebration of life. We
feel that love and dignity and beauty in life are as basic as physical
needs.
We are a foster care organization in dire need of foster homes for
dogs and cats. We do not make a profit by charging to take animals in.
Our adoption fees do not cover the expense of caring for pets.

We are a nonprofit organization that serves as the contact center
for literacy programs in the Tri-state area. Our service area
includes eight counties: Hamilton, Clermont, Butler and Warren in
Ohio; Kenton, Campbell and Boone in Kentucky; and Dearborn in
Indiana. We work with a coalition of more than 100 literacy-
provider agencies and more than 30 schools to improve lives
throughout the region.

Our mission is to improve cognitive, physical and psychological
function and to nurture the emotional health of our members

The Music Resource Center is a multi-faceted music education
center for teenagers in Cincinnati. The center uses the recording
and performing arts to create a sense of empowerment and
accomplishment in the urban community. The mission of the Music
Resource Center is to educate and inspire urban youth and through
music equip them with life skills for the future. We accomplish this
mission through music education and performance opportunities,
as well as life skills mentoring.
NECCO understands limited budgets, overflowing caseloads and
your desire to give kids a true chance. We have built a solid
reputation for working successfully with difficult populations and
specialize in 24-hour response on all referrals. NECCO is a flexible
team of professionals poised to do whatever it takes to provide
multiple, community-based services to youth who need care.
NECCO provides services in Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio and West
Virginia.

The O'Bryonville Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, volunteer
run organization. We promote non-lethal control for feral cat
colonies and humane methods to reduce the population of feral
cats. In addition, we work to socialize those cats and kittens and
place them in well-screened homes. OAR has made a difference in
the lives of over thousands of abandoned and unwanted cats and
kittens by placing them in loving homes.
Covington Partners in Prevention was founded in 1999 to reduce drug
abuse and violence among Covington youth. Since that time, we've
expanded our offerings to include a variety of mentoring, family
strengthening and physical/mental health programs. Every aspect of
this coalition's work is focused solely on supporting the children of
Covington.

Pink Ribbon Girls was founded when Tracie Metzger and Dawn
Harvey realized there was no specific group for young women
dealing with breast cancer. Through this nonprofit organization,
young women are offered education and awareness for early
detection, support and an outlet to express fears. The topics of
discussion at group meetings include dating, caring for young
children while undergoing treatment, fitness and nutrition. Pink
Ribbon Girls has a national, searchable database, providing a way
for people to connect with other young women with similar life
circumstances.
A Foundation of Hope for Children with Cerebral Palsy was started
in late 2004 by two mothers determined to go above and beyond
what is currently possible to make a profound difference in the lives
of our children and others, who suffer the negative physical,
emotional and social impact of cerebral palsy. RFTS' mission is to
foster national cerebral palsy research with the goal of expediting
the creation of new medicines and effective treatments for children
with cerebral palsy.
Redwood guides children and adults with multiple and severe
disabilities to achieve independence and reach their highest potential
throughout their lives by providing enriching educational, therapeutic
and vocational services. At Redwood, children and adults flourish,
prosper and are empowered to achieve the quality of life they deserve.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Cincinnati provides a
supportive Âhome away from home for families and their children
receiving medical treatment at Cincinnati Children's Hospital
Medical Center, regardless of their ability to pay. Ronald McDonald
House Charities also awards grants to local not-for-profit
organizations serving children through a portion of donations from
McDonald's customers and Global Ronald McDonald House
Charities' matching funds.

Save Our Strays was founded in 1998 to reduce pet overpopulation
in the Cincinnati area through non-lethal, humane methods.
Inspired by national groups like Alley Cat Allies, our primary focus
was initially trap-neuter-release (TNR) of feral and stray cat
populations in the area. In more recent years, we have also started
offering to the public low-cost spaying/neutering at one of the
local veterinary hospitals we're partnered with. While we have fewer
foster homes currently for dogs, we also will take in stray dogs or
pull dogs from death row at high-kill shelters as often as space in
our foster homes allows.
Save The Animals Foundation is a no-kill shelter for abandoned
cats and dogs. We currently house more than 600 dogs and cats,
including those abused or neglected before coming to our shelter
and benefit from the extra time, love and caring patience given by
our volunteers each day. It is run totally by volunteers. Some roles
volunteers fill are caring for dogs and puppies or cats and kittens,
helping with fundraisers and assisting with building maintenance ...
something for everyone!
Sober Living is a nonprofit organization committed to providing a safe,
affordable, sober housing and structural living environment to
individuals recovering from alcohol and drug addiction. Our goal is to
encourage and instill personal growth through educational, work-
force training and spiritual development.

St. Jude is unlike any other pediatric treatment and research facility.
Discoveries made here have completely changed how the world treats
children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. With research
and patient care under one roof, St. Jude is where some of today's
most gifted researchers are able to do science more quickly.
At St. Margaret Hall, we try to provide a way of life that is as home-like
as possible for our residents and their extended families. In this
residential health care setting, we strive to provide a Christian
community in which to live, along with enhancement of human dignity
and quality care.
Starfire enables individuals with disabilities to become active and vital
members of the community. Since 1993, Starfire has offered
innovative programs that address the emerging needs of teens and
adults with disabilities. Starfire creates opportunities that allow their
members with disabilities to interact with friends their own age.

Stepping Stones Center is a nonprofit United Way partner agency that
serves close to 1,000 adults and children with disabilities annually,
offering year-round services at two locations. The mission of Stepping
Stones Center is to increase independence, improve lives and promote
inclusion for children and adults with disabilities.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure was founded on a promise between
two sisters. Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G.
Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer
forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the
Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today,
Komen for the Cure is the world's largest grassroots network of
breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower
people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the
cures.
The Salvation Army has had a presence in Cincinnati since 1885,
serving the needs of the less fortunate in our community for nearly
125 years. Year round, we are active providing counseling, social
services, emergency and transitional housing, child care and after-
school programs, emergency disaster services, adult rehabilitation,
visitation to the elderly, sick, imprisoned, homebound and so much
more.
The Scratching Post is a nonprofit, no-kill shelter for stray and
abandoned cats. Located in Silverton, the shelter has been in
operation since May of 1990. We are able to find homes for about 400
cats per year.
Our purposes are to promote reconciliation between Northern Irish
Catholics and Protestants by fostering tolerance, understanding and
friendship among future leaders; to present a program that brings
Northern Irish teenagers of different faiths together in a strife-free
atmosphere that emphasizes acceptance of all people regardless of
creed; to educate and sensitize the Northern Irish teenagers to what
actions and attitudes disturb Catholics and Protestants about one
another; to educate and encourage persons to appreciate their roles
as peacemakers and reconcilers; to encourage Northern Irish
leaders and clergy involved in the project to continue to foster the
spirit of Ulster Project for a period of three to five years following a
given project; and to promote a spirit of community and
commitment among participants.
UGIVE is a nonprofit organization on a mission to catalyze, excite
and empower the next generation of volunteers. We make
philanthropy relevant to students, guiding them to give their time
and talents to build communities. UGIVE gives students the power
to choose, which means they're more likely to find their passion and
keep volunteering. We also adapt to their needs based on direct
feedback from students, highlighting the projects and charities that
are mostly highly rated.

In 10 counties throughout Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky
and Southeast Indiana, United Way brings our communities together

Founded in 2004, Village Life Outreach Project, Inc., is an official
501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based out of Cincinnati whose
mission is to unite communities to promote life, health and education.
Most of Village Life\'s work focuses on three remote and impoverished
villages in the Tarime district of Tanzania, East Africa.
